First activity of the day was of course, hiking up a major mountain. We couldn't complete it as it got impossible for ladies to clear a big hurdle.
The view from the summit (well, almost) was spectacular. It wasn't very cold so we just sat there enjoying the view.
We roamed about a bit more...in the car. Ate at local diners and went to a great arts and craft fair.
Back in the cabin, we had to try the jacuzzi. The next morning, the walk was very soothing, with all the colors and quiet.
We drove around, did some more hiking, checked out some trails. Anamitra 'the chicken' waited at the start while all of us tried to complete the mile long trail. Again, the colors were amazing.
The next fun place to go is the sledge ride at the TopNotch resort. It was time consuming but good fun. We had to take the carriage ride driven by Belgian horses and check out all the covered bridges. Girls fed them and I got to muster the 2 horses.
In a sum, a great trip, apart from the usual Franconia Notch crap and crowd. Highly recommended for people interested in experiencing the fall in its full splendor.
